Microsoft has apparently made the original Richard Feynman Messenger Lectures at Cornell available to all at a site called Project Tuva. We are big fans of Feynman here at General Things; one of our office dogs is named Feynman (the other is named Madame Wu, who unfortunately isn’t quite as widely-celebrated a scientist, but is nevertheless a legend n her own right). The Microsoft site is in Siverlight, so you’ll need that to watch it, but it’s worth it; Feynman was an amazing man.
The Solver’s Manifesto
I really wish I had written this. In my eyes, The Solver’s Manifesto is a great description of what it takes to run a tech consulting company such as General Things. When people ask me what we do at here, I always stumble a bit, mostly because we do so many things, and it’s hard to wrap that up into a succinct Twitter pitch. But everything we do comes down to one thing: solving problems across a wide variety of disciplines.
